Achieving global ecological sustainability will require an unprecedented effort in the coming years and decades. Our future survival as a species depends on it. This effort will involve every individual on the planet, each doing his or her own small part to reduce environmental impacts and live more harmoniously with the earth’s natural systems.
In this quest for a more livable planet, we see enormous opportunities to enrich our world in ways that may be difficult to image now. A world without hunger or the struggle to simply survive - one in which we can wake up each day knowing that we are all working together to make the world a better place. Among these opportunities, we envision healthier cities with cleaner air, less noise and more natural green spaces to calm the spirit and awaken the soul. We also see tremendous opportunities for new jobs and growth for small businesses and entrepreneurs willing to take the lead towards a more sustainable relationship with our planet. However, these businesses will need the tools and information necessary to provide human needs in a truely sustainable manner. At SustainQuest, we aim to help businesses develop these tools. Together, we can achieve these goals. Our mission is to provide the resources and knowledge to help all of us move in the right direction, with research, strategies and policies that leverage our resources for the greatest effectiveness, while helping businesses achieve greater strategic advantage in our highly competitive economy. |
